Franklin Lofts, originally known as the Lomas & Nettleton Building, is an 8-story, building
in downtown Houston, Texas. The building is generally regarded as the first skyscraper in the city.
Completed in 1904, and rising 8 floors in height. It was also the tallest steel-framed building west
of the Mississippi River at the time of its completion.
Converted to residential lofts and renamed to Franklin Lofts in 1999. Each of the units
includes stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, hardwood floors and has high ceilings (11'-18').
Exposed ductwork and brick walls give it that RH industrial feel. Great access to the The MetroRail which
runs in front of building. Also common area on roof for sightseeing.
